Lokwors (often referred to by the slang term lokkis) are portable communication devices. Their function is similar to a Terran radio. In particular, anyone with an appropriate receiver and within the appropriate range can detect a signal sent through a lokwor, although of course the signal may be encrypted.
Lokwors are favored by the Kel and may be an invariant technology.
Lokwors on the Wasp
The Wasp has a set of Kel lokwors. These interface with the grid on the Wasp, although the connection is slow compared to a typical tablet or lattice connection.
