Vraselian pseudo-dragons are small flying lizards that are often kept as pets. The species is endemic to wetland regions on the planet Vrasele.

Vraselian pseudo-dragons are omnivorous. In the wild, their diet primarily consists of insects, fish, berries, roots, and small crustaceans. It is important to provide domesticated pseudo-dragons with sufficient sources of calcium.

Pseudo-dragons are social animals. Pseudo-dragons form small colonies, typically on the order of four to ten adults, in order to raise young. They communicate with each other through trills and whistles. Domesticated pseudo-dragons often enjoy imitating noises such as grid alerts and boiling teakettles.

Reproduction

Vraselian pseudo-dragons are sexually mature at one year old. Domesticated pseudo-dragons can be safely neutered or fitted with contraceptive implants at six months.

Female pseudo-dragons construct large and elaborate nests in which they lay clutches of eggs; an average clutch has five or six eggs. Nesting pseudo-dragons require a high-calcium diet. They also hoard food in preparation for hatching: young pseudo-dragons eat food regurgitated by other colony members for the first few days.
