Voidmoth

Voidmoths, often abbreviated as moth, are intelligent beings native to gate-space. The later heptarchate and hexarchate calendars support a form of spaceship drive that incorporates a moth at the center of each ship. Visually, they appear to be horrific, shadowy masses of waving tendrils.

Moths lay eggs and treat young members of their species affectionately. Young voidmoths often chase each other, in an apparent game of tag.

Voidmoths appear to be sensitive to radio waves. Some scientists speculate they can send messages by producing gravitational waves. They also sing or hum on frequencies audible to humans. Some voidmoths are musically sophisticated and will hum along with human singing. Their sense of hearing appears to be very sharp.
